About Toastmasters

I am currently a member of the Talking Gators Toastmasters club in Gainesville. I earned the Distingushed Toastmaster Award in Sept. 2010, which is earned by completeing both the communication and leadership tracts. My public speaking skills have improved tremendously from my active participation in the club and in the contests that are held twice a year. My leadership skills have greatly improved as well and I have held several club and district offices:

  • Secretary/Treasurer, July 2005 to June 2006
  • Vice President of Education, July 2006 to June 2007, July 2018-present
  • Sergeant at Arms, July 2007 to June 2008
  • President, July 2008 to June 2009
  • Treasurer, July 2009 to June 2010
  • Area 70 Governor, July 2009 to June 2010
  • Sergeant at Arms, July 2010 to June 2012
  • Treasurer, July 2014 to June 2018

The Christian Healing Community

I am a part of a wonderful Christian healing community. The focus is holistic, not just on miraculous physical healings. It spans denominations and nations. I would not be who I am today without the healing touch of Christ. I have included some links if you are interested in finding out more.
